Funding Report: May & June 2024

Here’s the our latest funding roundup:

  • Hona, a San Francisco, CA-based GenAI medical records startup, has raised $3 million in seed funding. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Samsung, Rebel Fund, Allegis Capital, and 1984 Ventures.
  • Overland AI, a Seattle-based pioneer in off-road ground vehicle autonomy for the defense sector, announced it has raised $10 million in seed funding, led by Point72 Ventures with participation from Shasta Ventures, Ascend VC, Pioneer Square Labs, Voyager Capital, and Cubit Capital.
  • Circe a Boston, MA based novel bioproduction technology company that could significantly reduce the carbon emissions of industries from food to aviation fuel has raised more than $8 million to date from investors including Regen Ventures, Undeterred Capital, Ponderosa Ventures, Bee Partners, and Elementum Ventures
  • Summer Health, a New York based, pediatric telehealth startup announced a $11.65 million Series A raise led by 7wireVentures and Lux Capital. Pivotal Ventures participated in the raise, alongside existing investors Sequoia Capital, Box Group and Chelsea Clinton’s Metrodora Ventures. 
  • The Folklore, a NY based platform known for connecting global consumers with African brands and diasporic fashion, has secured a substantial $3.4 million seed funding spearheaded by Benchstrength Ventures, with contributions from Techstars, Black Tech Nation Ventures, and Slauson and Co.
  • Diddo, an API for streaming services and other platforms to integrate shoppable videos, has raised $2.8 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Link Ventures. Other investors and supporters include Neo, Lamar advertising’s family office, Scott Forrstal, and executives from companies such as Disney, Sundance TV, and MGM+
  • Handl Health, a Los Angeles, CA-based provider of an AI platform built to help benefits consultants design and deliver health benefits, raised $2.5M in Seed funding. The round was led by Mucker Capital and Everywhere VC, with participation from Tau Ventures, Riverfront Ventures, DHVP (Digital Health Venture Partners), Boutique Venture Partners, Plug and Play Ventures and Techstars.
  • Keep Company, a Bethesda, MD based startup that offers employer benefit that helps prevent burnout and attrition among working parents and caregivers, raised a $1.4 million seed round, with participation from Techstars, Idea Fund Partners, VEST Her Ventures, 100KM, Pixel Perfect Ventures, and TEDCO.
